The Bayeux Tapestry: Unstitched

Something has gone terribly wrong. When a museum curator discovers that parts of the Bayeux Tapestry have mysteriously vanished overnight, an urgent investigation begins. Threads have been unpicked, scenes are missing, and figures from the famous embroidery appear to have escaped into the Museum itself.

Follow the characters around the Museum, and you may meet the women connected to the tapestry’s creation, or discover tales hidden in its embroidered borders. Every character has a story to tell, and each encounter reveals a new perspective on a pivotal moment in history.

As the mystery unfolds, you’ll help piece together what has happened and restore the tapestry before its secrets are lost forever.

Packed with storytelling, discovery and surprises around every corner, this unique live experience invites you to step inside one of history’s most famous works of art and become part of the story.

This event is part of the public programme supporting The Bayeux Tapestry

We’ll be performing it on the evening of 12th February 2026 around the museum. Put it in your diary now (and more details of how to come and see the show will be posted here soon).
